My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gypsy is an approximately 5 year old smooth coated Jack Russell Terrier. She appears to be full bred (docked tail) with a very muscular body, long nose and classic markings. She has periods of high energy but is equally at home snuggling on the sofa. Gypsy had been living outside on a farm in rural Kentucky for the last two years after being abandoned there. While there, she had been allowed to run free and was fond of sitting in the middle of the road. She had not been spayed and has had a litter of puppies. She is an exceedingly friendly and loving dog. She seeks out affection as though she has been starved for it. She appears to be pretty well house trained and sleeps in her kennel each night without problem. She does well with children and is very eager to greet everyone she meets. She is somewhat assertive with other dogs but not aggressive. She does not like cats at all and it would not be possible to assure the safety of a cat in the same home. We were told that she is something of an escape artist while outdoors but we have not seen any evidence of that so far. As a matter of fact, she is beginning to respond to simple voice commands very well and is very submissive. Gypsy has just been spayed and micro-chipped and handled the procedures well. She is recovering nicely and would make an ideal addition to any family accustomed to the antics, energy and demands of this breed.
