Ruby Jayne's Story...
Ruby Jayne is a redboned coonhound around 1 to 2 years old. She is super happy and friendly, loves being loved. She weighs 40 pounds now, but you can see she needed to gain that weight. She is house trained and crate trained. She is VERY affectionate and energetic. She would love to have someone to run with. She likes toys, but will destroy ones that are cheaply made. She is eager to please and is working on her doggie manners like not jumping up or pawing. She is a talker and has a glorious coonhound bay. Her coat is a rich mahogany color and her eyes are very expressive. She is playful with other dogs. She was very curious about the ducks and rabbits in the begining but has gotten used to them and pretty much ignores them although if she were lose she would probably chase them. She is very entertaining and loves to be the center of attention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby Jayne, a Powell Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound for sale in Powell, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Powell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powell paves the way for another one to be saved.
