Mikey's Story...
June 2011-Please note, my foster mom is very good about keeping this site current. If you see this my bio listed, I am still available. Hello, my name is Mikey and my foster mom says that I am one of the sweetest dogs she has ever rescued. I love to be with my people. I am "the typical" little dog that will keep your lap warm if you let me. I am even good with other dogs once I know they will be nice to me. My foster mom has gotten me all of those ouchy shots and now I am ready to find my forever home. My foster mom does not know why I ended up in rescue but she says that she is happy our paths met.

If you are interested in adopting me, please go to and get an application for me. My adoption fee is $275.00.

If you have any additional questions you can email my foster mom at or you can call her between the hours of 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mikey, a Fredericksburg Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Fredericksburg, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Fredericksburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fredericksburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fredericksburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fredericksburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
