My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy was a stray dog that showed up at the San Jose shelter. Because of some short term medical treatment he needed rescue was asked to take him. (He had a toenail grown 1/2" into his paw pad!).

Based on Buddy’s behavior, we don’t think he had ever been in a house before. Stairs, crates, housebreaking, and even toys were all foreign concepts to him. The one thing that was not foreign to Buddy was people food. He came into rescue quite fat. His foster mom has taken a few pounds off him and he now looks great. He is very food motivated which is useful in training a dog.

Buddy walks nicely on a leash and his walks have helped with his weight. He has huge paws so his walk is more like a waddle. Since being in rescue, Buddy has learned to play with toys such as balls and stuffies and he really likes them. However his real focus is people and he wants to be with them whenever he can. When his people go to work during the week, Buddy hangs out quietly in the kitchen.

This stunningly beautiful boy LOVES when he gets to get in the big bed each morning and cuddle under the covers. He is neutered and vaccinated. Buddy is estimated at 5 to 6 yrs old
and 18 lbs.
