Helen's Story...
Yes, Helen is from New Orleans. She is very sweet and really affectionate but not overly hyperactive. I rode with this young lady doggie for four days on our trip up to New York and she was a model to the other dogs. Helen acted like she knew she was being saved from being euthanized. She was found in Plaquamines Parish, LA, where hurricane Katrina actually made landfall. With no adoptions the local dog pound was going to kill Helen by gas the next day. Fortunately our truck arrived the day before and Helen was one of 43 animals saved that day. Now she needs the final step ...a lifetime family. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Helen, a Forest Hills Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Forest Hills, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Forest Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forest Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forest Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forest Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
