Meg's Story...
Meg is an absolute doll!! We believe that she is a medium sized 2-3 yr old Border Collie/Spaniel mix. Her whole goal in life is to get attention from her person. All you have to do is look at her and her tail will start to wag. She is a real snuggler and wants nothing more than to sit on the couch next to you or curl up in bed against your feet. She likes to play with other dogs. At first, Meg was a little nervous to play with her foster brother (because he is so much bigger than her) but once she realized how much fun it could be, she started playing all the time. She hasn't actually chewed anything up but she has picked up her foster mom's house shoe, so you probably won't want to leave any shoes in her sight. Meg does love to chew toys. She was likely in a home before she got lost as she already knows how to "sit." However, she needs some more practice in the potty-training department but she's working on it. If you are looking for a sweet, medium-sized dog who will think the sun rises and sets with you, then Meg is your girl.

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Rachel either by phone, 913-638-8637 or by email, lashana@juno.com to find out when and where you can meet MEG!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meg, a Overland Park Springer Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Springer Spaniel for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Springer Spaniel dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Springer Spaniel breeders who help with Springer Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
