Hi…my name is Audie! I’m a 3 yr old submissive beagle mix boy and weigh in at 35 lbs. My former family surrendered me to their county animal control and didn’t say much when they dropped me off. Animal control contacted BREW Mid West and they came to the rescue! I’m now safe and sound in my foster home.
I love it here with my foster family and their two beagle mixes. I get along great with them but sometimes I get a little rambunctious and the female beagle mix will put me in my place. I get fed twice a day and there are plenty of dog beds to nap in; they’re real comfy too! I sleep in the crate at night and don’t mind it because there is a nice bed in there for me too. My foster mom works during the day but my foster dad is home so I’m not crated until mid afternoon when he leaves for work. That’s OK because I take a nap until my foster mom comes home in a couple of hours. The crate door is also kept open during the day for me or the male beagle mix to sneak a nap in.
I’m housetrained! I only had one accident when I first arrived. The resident beagles have Invisible Fence but I go out on a tie out with someone outside at all times to keep an eye on us. There are a lot of scents to sniff outside but I’ve been good about not getting carried away. I get to watch the birds, squirrels and sometimes deer through the big kitchen window.
My favorite things to do are playing with squeaky toys, chewing on Nylabones and snuggling with someone on the floor. I even like belly rubs too.
