Scarlett's Story...
Scarlett is a beautiful, young, smart, and eager to please girl. She is probably around 3 years old. She is a lovely little dog and enjoys getting her ears and chest scratched. She would make a good watch dog and companion for a family with a fenced yard. She is housebroken and knows her basic commands. She was a stray so we are not sure how she will do with children. Scarlett would love to find a family of her own to love and train her, and to keep her forever. Scarlett is working with experienced dog handles at the shelter to reinforce her basic commands and leash training. Scarlett loves to go on walks and play in the yard with people and other dogs. She has a naturally cropped tail, a beautiful reddish-orange coat, and a shorter stature. She seems to get along with other dogs, but has not been tested around cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scarlett, a Libby Australian Cattle Dog/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Cattle Dog for sale in Libby, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Libby.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Libby already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Libby breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Libby paves the way for another one to be saved.
