Bear's Story...
Bear is a super sweet 4 year old Black and White neutered male. If you sit down he will be on your lap kneading you and loving you for as long as you will sit there. As you can see by his pictures, he is very cute. He needs a permanent home where he can feel secure. He is tested FELV/FIV (-)(-), is vaccinated, and is house trained.
Bear showed up in our front yard in September. I think his people moved away and left him behind. I can’t imagine leaving this great cat behind. Because of this he is a bit anxious when you go out the door. I think he will overcome this once he settles into his new home.

This pet is up to date with routine shots.
This pet is already house trained.
This pet has been altered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a La Mesa Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in La Mesa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in La Mesa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Mesa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Mesa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Mesa paves the way for another one to be saved.
