Kirby's Story...
Meet Kirby...He was taken from an owner that was not treating him very well at all. When he remembered he would feed him...he would forget about him outside and he was just not in the best neighborhood. That is when we stepped in. Despite not having anyone to love him he is the sweetest little guy! He is a little timid when you first meet him...maybe cautious is a better word. But after he knows you are ok then he is way cool! Very good with other dogs, kids, cats. He is housetrained, cage trained, walks well on a leash. He is still somewhat new to us so we don't know everything but the foster home said he is just the sweetest dog. He is doing really well. Went to bed the first night there in his kennel and all he did was lay down and go to sleep. No whining, barking or nothing. He just came in like he had always been there.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kirby, a Troy Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Troy, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
