My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Jasmine and I am a Border Collie puppy. Would you believe that I was wandering around all by myself until animal control picked me up and brought me to the pound? I was cold, wet, and afraid and just waited for my family to come looking for me. Finally, a nice lady dropped by and brought a few of us to the Animatch Centre. I feel much happier and safer now. I am still quite shy and timid but I know in time I will be more comfortable. I am now being socialized a lot and I will soon gain confidence. I am very proud to be a Border Collie because I was just told that we are one of the most intelligent breeds. No one is sure of my past and I am still just a baby but chances are I will need tons of exercise and training. If trained, I know I can learn and do almost anything. There are lots of Border Collies who have become famous for being Frisbee or agility champs; I’d love to be famous and win ribbons! Even though I’m a stray, I know that I can make my new family proud. I should definitely be enrolled in puppy classes and then go on to basic and advanced obedience. Training will be very important for me since Border Collies are a working breed. We like to herd and sometimes we will try to herd bikes, joggers, cats and kids. We poke, push and nip if the person/animal doesn’t cooperate. So I need to have some challenges in my day-to-day life. I’m still a baby and definitely need a home where I am not alone during the day. I am still quite shy and will need to continue being socialized when I go to my new family. If you think that you are ready for a puppy – a Border Collie puppy – you won’t be disappointed. I’m looking for a home full of love, cuddles, and belly rubs. Would that be you? Please fill in the Adoption Form if you would like to adopt me.
