Manhattan: Male Grey Tabby DOB: Sept. 20, 2008
My name is Manhattan, but my foster dad calls me little man! I was previously adopted and was living with one of my sisters for 4 years. Unfortunately my old family lost their home to the economy and I was returned with my sister to Hobbes House. It was sad losing my first family but I know things in life come up unexpectedly. The good news is my sister got adopted rather quickly but I seem to be the groomsman never the groom. My step father is super nice but it is not the same as having a permanent home to live in.
I am simply looking for a family who will love me and enjoy my company. I live with one other cat and we are good friends. I also have a black lab dog that I sleep with. I enjoy playing with toys and I love to sharpen my nails on cardboard scratchers. I do not bite or scratch people and if you have a blanket in your lap I will gladly make biscuits and sleep on you.
I have been around kids (in my old family) and get along well with them. I hope one day someone will ignore my blind eye and age and give me a chance.
For more information on Manhattan, please visit our website: www.HobbesHouse.org or email us at FosterKitties@gmail.com. Manhattan's adoption fee is $50.

Rescue Group Info...
We are a relatively new no-kill rescue group in Wake Forest, that takes in stray and abandoned cats / kittens, and then works to find them their forever homes. All of our animals are tested, vaccinated and have either been spayed or neutered. Although we currently have a wonderful all-volunteer staff, we always need more help (foster homes, fundraising, PR, website work, newsletters, etc). If you are interested in volunteering (even for just a few hours) or donating to help us rescue more cats and kittens, please contact us !!
We list all of our adoption events and our available kitties on our website: www.HobbesHouse.org . Our adoption events are normally held each weekend at the PetSmart at BrierCreek ( Saturday from 11 - 2 and Sunday from 12:30 - 3:30 )
If you are interested in meeting one of our kitties, please email or call us !
We require that you fill out an application. If you live in an apartment, we then call them to insure they allow pets. If you have owned a pet before, we contact your vet for a reference.
After these two things have been done, we then contact you to discuss your application.
Our adoption fee is $100 for non- microchipped cats and $115 for microchipped cats, which covers our basic medical costs (vaccines, Feline Leukemia / FIV testing and spay/neuter).
