Manhattan's Story...

Manhattan:     Grey Tabby Male    DOB:  Sept. 20, 2008

Manhattan is a wonderfully sweet boy who is looking for his forever home. He was originally caught as an 8 week old kitten living in the storm drains near IBM in Durham. Shortly after this, he was adopted (along with his sister Mai Tai) to a great home. Due to unforseen circumstances with his previous owners, he needed to be returned (along with his sister) to Hobbes House. He is a very loving/outgoing boy. He loves to be rubbed and will happily roll on his back and allow his belly to be loved. Toys are an important part of his day. Between naps on the cat climber in the window and playing with Twix, he stays happy. Consider giving this sweetie a good home? Don't forget to check out my baby pictures !

  • Loves other cats
  • Loves to be petted
  • Enjoys Laps
  • Loves kids

For more information on Manhattan, please visit our website: www.HobbesHouse.org.  His current adoption fee is $50.00.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a relatively new no-kill rescue group in Wake Forest, that takes in stray and abandoned cats / kittens, and then works to find them their forever homes. All of our animals are tested, vaccinated and have either been spayed or neutered. Although we currently have a wonderful all-volunteer staff, we always need more help (foster homes, fundraising, PR, website work, newsletters, etc). If you are interested in volunteering (even for just a few hours) or donating to help us rescue more cats and kittens, please contact us !!
Come Meet Our Pets...
We list all of our adoption events and our available kitties on our website: www.HobbesHouse.org . Our adoption events are normally held each weekend at the PetSmart at BrierCreek ( Saturday from 11 - 2 and Sunday from 12:30 - 3:30 )
If you are interested in meeting one of our kitties, please email or call us !
Our Adoption Process...
We require that you fill out an application. If you live in an apartment, we then call them to insure they allow pets. If you have owned a pet before, we contact your vet for a reference.
After these two things have been done, we then contact you to discuss your application.
Our adoption fee is $100 for non- microchipped cats and $115 for microchipped cats, which covers our basic medical costs (vaccines, Feline Leukemia / FIV testing and spay/neuter).
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Wake Forest, Youngsville, Apex, Holly Springs
