Jester's Story...
An April Fools Day arrival, but no joke! He is a handsome, exotic looking, black and white fellow with cool markings - sometimes referred to as a "scarecrow" cat. He is a sweet boy and enjoys being petted once he feels comfortable with you. It does take him a little while to warm up to new people, he can be a little skittish at first, so he would probably do best in a quieter home. He loves to playfully interact with kittens so he would probably be fine in a home with another friendly cat. However, he would prefer that dogs keep their distance. He is ready to become part of your family!

Jester's estimated date of birth is 3/30/10. His adoption fee is $80 and includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccination, (distemper combo), rabies vaccination, FeLv & FIV test (neg.), deworming, neuter and microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jester, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
