HUDSON's Story...
Hudson is a 5 yr old male English Mastiff mix. He is neutered, wormed, heartworm tested, and UTD on shots. Hudson was found with a trap on his foot in Feb 2010 and during treatment, it was discovered he had 2 broken rear legs. His injuries resulted in the loss of one toe and the removal of the head of the femur on his left rear leg. He has arthritis in the other hip joint but since his injuries and surgeries, he had gained almost 30 lbs. and has become a testament to the strength and heart of a dog. Hudson is sweet and gentle and has babysat numerous litters of puppies while in foster. With other dogs, he is a bit alpha but has gotten along with a variety of other dogs. He will require a fenced yard and must be an inside dog due to his arthritis. He is housebroken and will do best with a home where he is a member of the family. He loves long walks and lots of attention. He was featured on KY3 after his injuries and tends to think of himself as a star! He is a special dog who will require a special home where his future medical needs can be considered. Sponsored by Cause for Paws an all volunteer NO KILL group. Applications are now being taken for that loving home! Call Lynn at 417 276-9184.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HUDSON, a Stockton English Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Mastiff for sale in Stockton, or seeking a English Mastiff dog from a breeder in Stockton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stockton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stockton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Mastiff breeders who help with English Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stockton paves the way for another one to be saved.
