LATTE's Story...
Latte is a beautiful black puppy with one white stripe on her chest and adorable floppy ears. Being out in the rain does not bother her one bit. She was happy to be out in the yard running around following me and my dogs. She was a little nervous and shaky at first but then settled in and explored her new foster home. She seems to be so smart! She loves to settle in with a good toy, especially little stuffed animal type toys. She was curious about the other dogs in the house too. She loves to play with the young children in the home. She didn't mind the water part of her bath but looked for an escape when it was time for the shampoo. During her down time she does love to cuddle up and she is so cute following me and my girls around. She is using the crate when unsupervised. She is settling in nicely. She should be med. to large in size.

UPDATE: We crated Latte for the night. She did whine at first but then settles down when I walk away. She follows me every where including up and down the deck stairs all on her own. She is a good eater and drinks well too. She is doing beautifully sitting on command and loves to fetch toys. She is also exploring her surroundings more. She loves to cuddle. Latte managed to sleep through the thunder last night too. She also just had a housebreaking breakthrough. She went to the door and whined so I let her out and as soon as she got outside she peed. She is really smart!
UPDATE: She did well in the crate overnight. She is doing well asking to go out too and continues to have success outside (even in the rain last night). She is looking to play more and nap a lot less. She is comfortable around the other dogs in the house She is definitely out of her shell. After the adjustment to the new foster home, she is really showing how wonderful she is!

This dog is currently fostered in a private home. Our rescue is 100% foster home based. We do not have a shelter or kennel. They are cared for by a loving family until adopted. Each pup has had their first vet exam, a shot, and de-worming, etc We make sure they have no fleas prior to going into our foster homes. They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously!

Please note that the adoption event will take place on the morning of April 30th or May 1st; After your application is approved, we will contact you and arrange for you to meet the dog on that date. Once adopted, feel free to change the dog's name. You do not have to keep the name listed in this post.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LATTE, a West Milford Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound for sale in West Milford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in West Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
