Honor's Info...

I am purebred, rideable, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Honor's Story...
Honor is one of the standardbreds that we saved from an auction in New Jersey. We were very pleased to find that she is completely broke to ride and can be ridden both indoors and outdoors without a problem. She is very sweet and would make an excellent riding horse. Honor can be adopted in Illinois or a close neighboring state and only to an approved home.

Honor is with a foster family who is riding her on trails and showing her this summer, and she is doing great! To keep up to date on her progress, check out Honor's Update Page.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honor, a Dewey Standardbred was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standardbred for sale in Dewey, or seeking a Standardbred from a breeder in Dewey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dewey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dewey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standardbred breeders who help with Standardbred rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dewey paves the way for another one to be saved.
