Ginger's Story...
Ginger is a shorthaired, one year old (DOB April 18, 2005), orange tabby. She came to us pregnant, had four kittens of her own, and then took on the “mama role” for two orphaned kittens! Ginger has a big heart and isn’t afraid to show it; she comes to get and give affection whenever she can. She has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, and tested negative for feline leukemia. Ginger is a very sweet, loving cat. She loves to sit and cuddle on her favorite peoples’ lap. Ginger gets along well with other cats. Ginger enjoys bird, squirrel and chipmunk watching, too. To meet Ginger, call 507-451-4512. (LP)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Owatonna Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
