Bowie's Story...
Bowie is a young, smart Border Collie-Corgi mix with a sweet, funny personality! He's about 1-2 years old, neutered, housetrained and up to date on shots. Bowie is being fostered by a lovely couple and does great with their kids - he also loves other dogs and would do best in a home tha has other dogs for him to play with! Bowie is a very bright dog - he needs an owner who understand herding breeds and can work with him. He is very trainable and loving, loves to cuddle and sleep at your feet. Bowie can be a little scared of men who come on too strong, but warms up nicely with a little patience and benevolent discipline. Please contact ashafarris@gmail.com to meet this special boy...Bowie is a one-of-a kind handsome boy who's looking for his happily ever after!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bowie, a Los Angeles Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Corgi for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Corgi dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Corgi breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
