Parker's Story...
Hello my name is Parker, I was rescued from animal control. I am about 1.5-2 years old and am as sweet as can be! I love to sit in a lap and give kisses. I am not sure how to play with toys yet but am still learning! Please excuse my hair cut, when I got here I was full of mats and had to get a trim! It will grow back to be long but in the summer I'm suree a shave down would be nice!! I havent had much experience with kids or other animals yet so my friends here at MEHS recomend a slow introduction and some training! I am looking for a forever home to love me and treat me right, Is that home yours?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Parker, a Edwardsville Shih Tzu/Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Brussels Griffon for sale in Edwardsville, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in Edwardsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edwardsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edwardsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edwardsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
