My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Layla is your typical Border Collie. She is active dog, loves to play but at the same time very easy to live with. Layla gets along well with other dogs and ignores the cat. Layla has a great recall but her new home must have a fenced in yard as we have seen her want to chase cars from behind the fence.

Layla loves to play Frisbee and if it is too windy will settle, reluctantly, for a game of chasing a ball. In the house Layla settles nicely and likes to chew on a bone, come over for petting or to play with a toy. Layla is crate trained and house broken.

Layla likes to please and learns quickly, she would do great with someone that was into obedience, Rally, agility or a beginner in Frisbee. She would like to have another dog to play with, but would do equally fine as an only dog.

Layla says her ideal new family would be an active family that would enjoy going out and playing Frisbee with her and/or take her on a walk.

A few of Layla's quirks, we have seen her chase cars from behind a fence, but does not chase then when out on a walk. When riding in a car she will need to be in a crate as again she is interested in cars that pass by. Oh and she sort of likes to steal socks, but we are working on that. The good thing is she does not eat them but will chew on them. Her new family will also have to be patient with her during storms as she is storm phobic she does not mind the rain, just thunder and lighting.

Layla is being fostered in Michigan
