Tia's Story...
Seven years ago this sweet girl was found severely matted and living under an abandoned car. After being rescued she was adopted by her human mom who has loved and cared for her. But unfortunately her owner had some unexpected health complications which have left her unable to care for little Tia. Tia is easy going; she gets along with all of her foster brothers and sisters, which include everything from two cats to a Cane Corso Mastiff who she let "wash her face" when she first came! She is very quiet and has not barked even once although she does make little happy whimpering noises when you get her harness out to walk her or go for a ride! Tia does have what is known as a collapsing trachea but it gives her no trouble, as long has she gets her medication twice daily so she does not cough. She loves her stuffed toys to play with and will happily sit in your lap for hours enjoying the attention. Tia is housebroken. She will do well in a home with a family or with an older adult who is looking for a sweet lap dog! Tia does naturally have longer hair and will require regular trips to the groomer- her previous owner kept her groomed in what is known as a "lion cut" which is short because it was easier for her to maintain. Tia is current on all vaccines, spayed and on heartworm prevention. If you are interested in giving sweet Tia the home she deserves, please email us at forrescuetn@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tia, a Huntsville Tibetan Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Tibetan Spaniel for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Tibetan Spaniel dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Tibetan Spaniel breeders who help with Tibetan Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
