Bear's Story...
What a striking dog !! Bear is a gentle giant !! He is very calm and very gentle. He loves to be with his people and he gets along with other dogs very well. He does not do well with cats though. He has just arrived, so we are still getting to know him, but he tends to be "talky" like a shepherd, he will let you know when he needs to go out, but he also seems to be people friendly like a lab, sweet and goofy at times. He likes to play with a ball, but not obsessively, he settles very nicely inside the house. He does not like to be crated, but he does well without one so far. Bear weighs about 85 lbs, he loves to go for walks and he is pretty good on a leash. He knows sit and down and may know more commands, as we are still getting to know him.

He has very good house manners, seems to be housetrained, LOVES to ride in a car, and wants to be close to his people. What a great boy, he is ready for his new home, if you are looking for an intelligent dog, a great companion and a loyal friend, Bear is your boy!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Avon Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Avon, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Avon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Avon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Avon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Avon paves the way for another one to be saved.
