My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 09/06/2011: Mia Bella is an absolutely adorable 9 pound 6 year old Yorkie princess; she is being fostered in Davie, FL. Bella is calm and welcomes guests into the home with ease; she has been in her foster home for 5 months, and she is FINALLY starting to make herself at home. Bella lived all her life in the same home. Unfortunately, her family's work situation meant that though they loved Bella dearly, they could no longer give her the attention she needs. Bella suffers from severe separation anxiety, and because of this, she must be placed in a home where at least one parent is home most of the time. She loves nothing better than to be held and carried like a baby. In fact, having Bella in our home has reminded us of having a toddler around! She even lifts up her "arms" when she wants you to pick her up - it's pretty irresistible! She is mostly housetrained, but there are occasional accidents. She does best with a schedule of frequent potty breaks. She will walk on a leash, but she does not like to be rushed. A fenced yard with supervised outings would be preferable. She does like to swim with her foster dad - and she does NOT like him to swim without her! Bella is tolerant of her foster brothers and sisters, but she rarely engages with them, so she would do very well as an only princess. She is not into toys, and she hates cats. Loud noises scare her - she is nervous whenever voices are raised, even if not directed at her, Bella especially enjoys cuddling on the sofa for TV time, and she definitely needs space in the "big bed". She's a good sleeper buddy and doesn't usually move until morning. Bella has come out of her shell since she has been here, and we know she will thrive in a household filled with love and patience. If you are "Looking for Love", Bella may be the one for you.

Hi, everybody! Mia Bella here (but Foster Mom calls me Bella Bella). She says one "Bella" just doesn't do me justice! I am 6 years old and a trim 8.6 pounds of cuddly fluff; I am being fostered in Davie, FL.

I am a dainty, sweet girl. I mostly like to sit in your lap - all the time. I'm quiet in the car, but I suffer from some motion sickness. I do NOT like to be left alone, so a full-time person at home is a must. I try really hard to potty outside - I just need you around to keep me on a good schedule! I like to take my time, so please Foster Mom and Dad don't rush me on a leash walk. I get down to business, then I'm ready to get right back inside. Loud noises and harsh voices scare me (A LOT), so you'll need to be super patient with me - but I promise I'm worth it! I don't dislike my foster brothers and sisters. Mostly I just ignore them, and honestly, I will be happiest as the only princess baby in the family. The cats are okay, but when they get too close to my mom, I have to chase them away. Foster Mom says I am like a toddler - I like to be held and cuddled, and I am super cute when I stand up on my feeet for you to pick me up. Who can resist that move? My original mom and dad loved me a whole lot, but they realized they couldn't give me the attention I needed. They knew United Yorkie Rescue would find me a perfect forever home. If you think I'm irresistible, contact Foster Mom and let her know!

UPDATED BIO 06/26/2011: Mia Bella is a Beautiful little girl who was surrendered by her owner because she could no longer care for her. She is 9 lb and 6 years old. She is being fostered in Davie, FL.

Mia is a loving little girl. She is so affectionate and loves to be loved. For that reason, FM thinks Mia really needs to be the only dog in the home. She would just be happier that way. Also. while FM is absolutely in love with her, the only issue is that Mia Bella needs to be taken out regularly to potty or else she might have an accident. For that reason, FM thinks a backyard with a fence is also preferable (not an apt). She also has some separation anxiety and the new mom or dad should be home most of the time.

Now, while we're putting all her "flaws" out there, FM still thins she is an absolute gem and anyone would be psyched to have her for their very own. If you fit what Mia Bella needs, please fill out an application. Thank you!

INITIAL BIO 04/10/2011: Mia Bella is a gorgeous little yorkie girl who is approximately 9 lbs and 6 years old. She is being fostered in Davie, FL.
Mia Bella is sweet and loving. She was surrendered by her previous owners because she was having frequent potty accidents in the home. With a baby on the way, her owner came to UYR to find a more suitable home for Miss Bella.

She has only been in her foster home a short while, but so far her Foster Mom is in LOVE. She says Mia Bella wants to be in her arms most of the time. She is getting along fine with the other dogs but seems a bit shell-shocked by her sudden 4 fur-brothers and sisters. She has had some accidents in the home, and we will be taking her to the vet to make sure there is no medical cause for it. If not, little Bella will be getting some training in her foster home :). Please stay tuned as we get to know Mia Bella better!
