Shelby's Story...
Shelby is such an adorable puppy. She was one of six in an unplanned litter. She was living outside and the man who had the litter just couldn’t take care of them. So he brought Shelby and her sister to Friends For Life. Sophie will be a medium size dog. She is well socialized and is learning to walk on a leash and her house training. A perfect day for Shelby would be one with a lot of people, playing, toys and other dogs. She’ll need lots of exercise and some obedience training but will give you lots of love and great companionship in return.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Houston Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
