My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DANNY BOY.
18 month old purebred Border Collie. Danny Boy is a shy black and white smooth coat male. He runs low in the pack (although he knows how to growl at other dogs if he wants too (being so low in the pack, he illicits absolutely no fear or reaction from any of them)). Danny Boy was very shutdown at the shelter and very, very reserved when we first brought him home. The fact that he had a case of Kennel Cough didn’t help either. He is very good looking and quite tall (beautiful brown eyes). I don’t think I’ve ever heard him bark and I don’t think he’s ever chewed on anything. He suffers a little bit from submissive urination, a commonalty he shares with other submissive dogs. Once comfortable with you, this will go away. He’s good with voice commands, walks really well on a leash (no pulling from this boy), and surprisingly good with strangers. He is good with kids. Doesn’t really play with other dogs, but loves his master. As a matter-of-fact, sometimes he loves me a little too much and he’s hard to “get off.” But it all comes from a good place. Danny Boy will sleep wherever you ask him too. Probably fine with cats. Great for first time BC owner. Rides well in the car, although a little hesitant to get in. Likes to sit on the floor of the car as opposed to the seat. Danny has no fear of men and would make a great best friend. Danny would be fine as an only dog.
