Gil--PETSMART's Story...
UPDATE--You can now meet Gil in person at the Muncie PetSmart!! Gil is a very handsome boy! His approximate date of birth is 4/6/2010 and he is just wonderful! He and his brother, Delko (also on this site and pictured here, too), were adopted from us at the end of June, 2010. His adopters had a family illness/emergency, forcing them to suddenly move out of state for an indefinite period of time. They felt it would be best to return the boys to us to find them new homes. Gil (both boys, actually) is very loving and sweet. He is handling the transition very well. He is also very playful! We would love for them to be able to stay together, however, we know this is not always possible. He is used to medium sized dogs (Cocker Spaniel) and does well with gentle children. He also does well with other cats. Help us make this state of limbo a short one for this boy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gil--PETSMART, a Muncie Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Muncie, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Muncie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muncie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muncie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muncie paves the way for another one to be saved.
