My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sparky - female, spayed, vaccinate, vet checked, dewormed, tx flea preventative, heartworm tested, ~8-10mos, ~30lbs, Beagle/Boston Terrier.

Sparky is a unique looking white Beagle/Boston mix, she has striking brindle patches around her eyes. She has reached her adult weight and will not grow any more. Sparky is super sweet, friendly, outgoing and social. She loves other dogs and is fine with respectful children, she is also fine with cats. Sparky is crate trained and house trained but doesn’t seem to know any basic obedience. Sparky is an energetic and enthusiastic puppy that would love to take some obedience classes with her new family. She needs a good brisk walk every day and some play time in the yard with her family. Sparky is still very puppy-ish so she should continue to sleep in her crate at night and when left alone. This energetic, fun loving dog would be great for an active family, she loves to be with people and really enjoys life and wherever it may take her. Sparky should not be off leash unless in a fully fenced area.

From Sparky's Foster Family:She's doing really well with us so far. She did jump at the cat and after getting hissed at she backed off. She ignores the cat now mostly but will try to engage her in play out in the yard and the cat ends up chasing her but it's all very playful. She's great with Piglet and we've actually been training her through examples with Piglet. She knows to ask for food now, how to sit, lay and "come"...really awesome progress in just a few days. We continue to crate at her at night and she's very well behaved and quiet at night. She's so good at the park with all the other dogs, I've actually let her off leash a couple of times and she responds to "come" and always stays around me and Piglet. She's very playful and curious about everything but picks up on corrections very quickly if we don't like something. She can be a bit possessive of me and doesn't like sharing the attention with the other pets. She's so affectionate and does anything just to grab my attention. She's a velcro pup, literally at my heels anywhere I go :) She's a gorgeous show off, she knows when we start complimenting her and she'll start rolling on her back. She's had a bath and her coat is now snow white. Appetite's been good and she sits and waits for treats or when we go for walks. She's had a couple of minor bathroom accidents in the house, but since we've corrected her she's been pretty consistent.

She would be great for regular visits to the dog parks and would be an ideal second dog or fine on her own. Sparky needs an energetic family to teach her some basic commands, get her out for regular exercise and give her lots of tlc. Sparky is best suited to a house with a yard.
