My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Wilbur. Remember me from my website listing in March? I took a break from the spotlight for a bit after my brother Oliver was adopted and my foster mom noticed I was losing quite a bit of fur. I was a bit of a puzzle to the vets, but am much better now (although I do look a little funny right now while all of my fur grows back in). My foster dad thinks my name should be "Patches" since my fur is still a bit patchy, but I'll have my luxurious coat back before summer starts.

I was born last May (2010) and rescued after a kind woman started to feed my brother and I. She saw that we were very sweet, tame boys in need of love and attention, so she contacted ARCF for help and now I'm settled in my very cozy foster home. As you can see, I am a very handsome tuxedo boy, with a thin "John Waters" mustache, white chest, and three white socks (I'm sporting a white spot on my other foot).

I am a bit lonely now that my brother has left, but I've made up for it with extra cuddles with my foster parents. Every time my foster mom looks at me, I roll onto my back for belly rubs (not too rough though, or I get a little excited and start to wrestle). I still have some of that kitten in me, since I am less than a year old. Sometimes I am a little cautious when I meet new people, but a calm voice and gentle pets will soon bring me back out for more love and fun.

My perfect family would be ok with me rubbing on their legs and hanging out with them as they read or work on the computer. I like a good scratch so I will need a cat tree or cardboard scratcher. Catnip makes me extra feisty and I will wrestle with my catnip pillow or toys to keep you entertained. I also like to sleep up high from time to time, so I would love to have access to a high shelf or cat tree. A cat companion would be great and I'd even consider living with a dog if they don't chase me.

Wilbur, like all ARCF cats for adoption, has been neutered, microchipped, is up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

If you are interested in meeting Wilbur, please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.
