My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Presenting Pickle and Petunia: please peruse this perfect pair of playful pals! These sweet tabby siblings are about 18 months old, and are looking for a home where they can always be together.

Although Pickle and Petunia have classic gray tabby markings, we suspect there are some Siamese genes in their background. They are curious, playful, agile and very eager to have people for company. You can also see a bit of the Siamese influence in their sleek, lean bodies and classic profiles. They don’t, however, have the vocal stylings of the Siamese; no howling, just some friendly chatting if there is something to report.

We would have to say that Petunia would definitely score higher on her SATs than Pickle, and she’s the first to greet visitors and tell them all about her wonderful self. Pickle would need some help with his homework, but he’d be the one to sit with the unpopular kids at lunch and let everyone else have the first turn at games.

These two love their toys—LOTS of toys—and although they can entertain themselves quite well, they expect some play time with their people every day. Petunia especially likes balls that she can smack around (check out her fancy moves in the video!) and they both adore toys on a string that fly through the air.

Although they are small for adult cats they are quite active and Pickle and Petunia will want to romp all over the house and share in whatever activities their people are up to.

Once they’ve had a good play, they are ready to curl up on a lap and provide purring accompaniment to reading or TV time. Both of them love to get up close and personal and will expect to lounge about on the “people” furniture, including sleeping on the bed.

Pickle and Petunia both adore being brushed and combed daily and are agreeable to having their nails trimmed. They have perfect litter box habits, no special food needs, and they do their scratching on the cardboard scratcher pads and not the furniture. They love to sit by the window and keep an eye on neighborhood activities.

Pickle and Petunia, like all ARCF cats for adoption, have been spayed and neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

If you are interested in meeting Pickle and Petunia, please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.
