Lady's Story...
Lady is a beautiful 2yr old black lab mix female. She looks all lab, except for that white spot on her chest. According to her foster mom, she is an extremely sweet girl that loves kids, plays with the other dogs and just ignores the cats in the house. She knows how to sit, lay down, and comes when her name is called. She loves to stretch out on the tile floor and lay around. She is very mild mannered, soft spoken and crate/potty trained. She will be a low maintenance easy dog to adopt. She looks a little sad sometimes, but I think that’s because all 5 of her puppies pasted away in the AL shelter she came from. She arrived through volunteer transport on Saturday, 4/30. Unfortunately, a spider bite was discovered on her back leg. It’s healing GREAT, but the vet isn’t a barber and didn’t do a very good haircut job. So, she will have a bald spot for a little while until the hair grows back. She is currently fostered in Palm Harbor, FL. If you are interested, please contact flretrieverrescue@yahoo.com. Lady is spayed, heartworm tested negative and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $150.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady, a Largo Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Largo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Largo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Largo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Largo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Largo paves the way for another one to be saved.
