Dusty's Story...
Hello? Are you there? Oh, aha, I see you now. Hi, I am Dusty…or is it Rusty? Crusty? Ummm, no no, I think Dusty was right. Sorry for all the confusion, my noggin’ just ain’t what it used to be. But there is one thing I know for sure, I am a loyal lapdog from head to toe! Back in my day we didn’t have these new-fangled technological gadgets, we just went outside and enjoyed the sunshine. I may be 10 years old, but I still love to stroll in the park, watch the birds, and smell the flowers. I don’t require much, just a little walking, a little sleeping and a lot of loving! I am fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dusty, a Portland Miniature Schnauzer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Schnauzer for sale in Portland, or seeking a Miniature Schnauzer dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Schnauzer breeders who help with Miniature Schnauzer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
