Cody's Story...
Hi! My name is Cody. My DOB is around 26JUL06. My Mom was a German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd Mix weighing in at around 50 lbs. We don’t know who Dad was - he was just passing through town! I am a neutered male that is fuzzy and fun! I recently went into foster care with Laura and am having a good time playing at her house and getting to know her adult dogs. I am doing well on both my house training and my kennel training, but Laura says it is too soon to say I am 100% trained yet. I am current on my vaccinations and am ready to join my new family! I am very sweet, but a little bit on the shy side! If you would like more information about me, contact Laura at fostermom@k9s4me.com. Thanks for considering adopting a homeless animal! This bio was last updated on 26OCT06.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cody, a Overland Park Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
