Bob (Mr Robertson)'s Story...
Hi! My name is Mr. Robertson, but you can call me Bob. I am a stout shorthaired tabby and I am looking for a new home. My last search didn't go so well because I ended up living in a corner of an abandoned building and boy was that scary. Scary for all the usual reasons but even more scary for me because I don't have any claws on my front feet to defend myself. Sometimes those old "outside cats" I run into aren't very sociable, if you know what I mean. Anyway, a nice man found me and surrendered me to PAWS because he already had his hands full with a houseful of his own cats. They checked me over at the "clinic" and said I was neutered (no surprise to me), that I tested negative for Feleuk & FIV (which I guess is good) that I didn't have a microchip and that I weighed 12.2 pounds! They estimated me to be about 4-5 years old and then they gave me all my vaccinations. So now I guess I am ready to interview for a new owner. I love people and I am very calm and quiet. I'd like a new family who would love me and keep me safely inside so I don't get lost again. I've got lots of love to give them in return. My adoption fee is $70 so come on by, I'd love to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bob (Mr Robertson), a Oklahoma City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
