Sally O'Malley's Story...
Sally O'Malley is a very sweet and good natured beagle lady. She can be timid in new situations, but once she feels confident that she will be okay, her true personality comes out. She is extremely affectionate and loyal; she'll kiss your hand just to say "thank you" for a nice pat on the head and bonds to anyone who is kind to her. Sally is playful but not aggressive; she loves toys as well as a romp outside with some other doggie play companions.

She has a bit of a stubborn side - she is a beagle after all - but has been receptive to learning since she's been in rescue. She comes when she hears her name called, and is learning how to master "sit." Sally is also making progress in learning how and when to use the great outdoors. Hint: She is treat motivated.

Sally is interested in the foster house cat, but seems to have learned to keep a respectable distance (after receiving a swat in the nose, of course)! Sally also has very good manners in crowds and around children of different ages. Won't you please consider this pretty beagle girl as your companion - she'll reward you with infinite kisses and endless loyalty.

Sally would be good with children, non-aggressive dog(s), or as an "only" pet with plenty of attention from her humans.
Adoptive Status: Spayed, UTD on shots, heartworm negative and micro-chipped.

Owner Aptitude Level: Patient beginner

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sally O'Malley, a Waldorf Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
