Karmen's Story...
Karmen is a 3 years yellow lab. Karmen has a very high food drive and will grab treats from your hand. This is a problem that will need to be worked on and potential adopters should use caution if they have small kids. (She may try to grab food from the child as they walk around with food in their hands.) She gets very upset when left alone and could have some separation anxiety. Karmen is a sweet girl though. If you are looking for a good companion that just needs a little work, come in and meet Karmen. Adoption fees include spaying or neutering, vaccinations (excluding Rabies), ID microchip, collar, a dog training DVD, de-worming treatments, flea/ ear mite treatments, and temperament testing. There will be an addition to the adoption price, if you reside in our county, and you want to obtain a current dog license from us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Karmen, a Chambersburg Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Chambersburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Chambersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chambersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chambersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chambersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
