Bowie is 1.5-2 year old Sheltie/Corgi Mix. He is extremely smart. He potty-trained and learned to “sit” in a matter of a few days. Bowie loves to cuddle; he’s loyal and he loves to play. His preferred action for the day though is just sleeping at your feet. Bowie has been great with my dogs, my two toddlers, and even strangers. Bowie is a herding type of dog, based on his breed mix, so he does exhibit some herding-type behaviors that are typical for his breed. Though Bowie has been amazing with my own children, I am still recommending him to a home with children that are a bit older (if in fact there are children in the home) since there is still structure and training needed. However, Bowie takes correction very well. Bowie is neutered and fully vaccinated. If you are interested in meeting him, please contact: ashafarris@gmail.com or phone: 626-529-5146. There will be an application, a home check, and an adoption contract/adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bowie, a Los Angeles Border Collie/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Corgi for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Border Collie/Corgi dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Corgi breeders who help with Border Collie/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
