Macy - Pending's Story...
Arrival story: Macy came to us as a stray from a rural shelter in mid-Michigan. It appears from her sweet temperament and friendliness that she was once someone's beloved dog.

Approximate age / weight: 6 -7 years old and 33 pounds.

Personality: Hello! My name is Macy. I'm a sweet, well-mannered girl with lots of love to give to my new family. If you're looking for a loyal, cuddly companion, I'm your girl! I know some basic commands and will take treats very gently from your hand. I'd be happy to go for a walk with you or just lay quietly by your side. I'm house trained and don't mind being in the crate, but I really don't need to be crated because I'm such a good girl. I do well with kids, dogs and cats.

Forever home: Macy would probably do well in a variety of settings. Since she is new to us, we will provide more updates soon.

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - Just complete the application and email it back to

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy - Pending, a Northville Cocker Spaniel/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Northville, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Northville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Northville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Northville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Northville paves the way for another one to be saved.
