Lantana's Story...
Good afternoon, my name is Lantana and I am a three year old red male Greyhound. I am a gentleman and observe proper manners when interacting with people. Of course I have a lot to learn since I'm fresh from the track but I'm sure I'll figure it all out quickly. I love to ride in the car and stop at McDonald's for an ice cream cone, such a delight. I would make a most excellent addition to your home and I look forward to meeting you this weekend. I am crate trained but not yet house trained (I'll learn very quickly).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lantana, a Gerrardstown Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Gerrardstown, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Gerrardstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gerrardstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gerrardstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gerrardstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
