We had met Stella long before we took her in. Stella was part of another alleged rescue in Florida. We got a call for help when the founder of the rescue was in trouble with the law. Nothing prepared us for what we were going to find upon arrival. Stella was living outside, in hole that she dug in the dirt. She was filthy, neglected, and scared. We called her name and she immediately recognized us … we could not leave her there. We fixed her up and got her demodex mange healed.
Stella is an extremely laid back, well mannered girl. She loves to give gentle kisses. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she is a bundle of love. Stella gets along well with other dogs. She is crate trained and housebroken. Stella does have some skin allergies so she gets a small maintenance dose of Apoquel and a bath every 2 weeks or so. Stella needs to be in a home without small children. Her eyes are incredibly soulful. She has been with us since April 2011. That means she has been waiting on a home for over FIVE YEARS! Stella has no idea why as she so desperately wants to be a part of someones family. Could it be you?
