My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shilo is 2 years old and came to us as an outdoor dog that would not stay on his owners’ unfenced property. He gets along well with kids, cats and other dogs-in fact Shilo would like to live with another dog. Shilo knows come, sit, stay and down, and will follow you around when he is not on a leash. He does like to be where people are! Shiloh enjoyed being groomed and stayed in the crate at the groomer just fine (although he was not left alone in the crate). Shilo needs secure, visible fencing. He is very intelligent and has been known to climb over or squeeze under chain link fencing. He can also open latches. Shilo housetrained in one day. Shilo’s foster family is working with him to learn that fences are to be respected.

Shilo walks well on leash and loves nature walks. Shilo also seems to like water, which is unusual for a Pyr. Shilo really loves to ride in the car and really doesn’t want to get out when the ride is over! He is not afraid to go up or down stairs-in fact he is not afraid of much at all. Shilo likes butter, margarine, Livasnaps and Milkbones although we do not intentionally give him the first two! Shilo would likely do best in a family that would give him lots of attention and would not leave him alone for long periods of time.

Shilo is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. He is heart worm negative and on Heartgard and Frontline Plus. An adoption application, site visit, adoption fee, and secure visible fencing are required to adopt Shiloh.
