Pluto's Story...
Meet Pluto – the smallest of our “backyard breeder” rescues, we named him Pluto for the smallest Planet in the universe – you remember – the one that was recently downgraded from planet status?

Pluto is definitely the shyest of these 3 little munchkins – he is very sweet, but wary of strangers, and will hold back and wait to see what his big brother and dominant sister will do before he joins in.

When he does decide to trust you- he give you his heart with no reservation! You can see it in his pictures – this little (13 pound) boy is waiting for the right person to come and help him blossom into the dog he is meant to be! He loves to snuggle once he trusts you, and he will venture away from his sister and brother to shyly lick your hand – and then go scurrying back to them to make sure that he still has their approval.

Pluto is a little diamond in the rough – when he comes out of his shell he is going to be a perfect family dog – but it is going to take a great deal of patience to get him to that point. If you have the space in your heart for this little man – then yours is the home he is looking for!

If you are interested in adopting Pluto please go to our sister website – , click on “forms” and complete the simple adoption application online – when you are finished, hit “submit”, and your application will automatically be forwarded to us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pluto, a Simi Valley Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Simi Valley, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Simi Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Simi Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Simi Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Simi Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
