Summer's Story...
Hello Gorgeous! Please meet Summer! She is a 1 year old Himalayan that was turned into a shelter when her owner passed away and nobody in her family could take Summer. She is about 7 pounds and will not get any bigger. She adores being held and will often be found sleeping in a closet! She doesn't mind dogs and will play slap at them to get them to leave her alone. She is up to date on her shots and she is spayed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Summer, a Portland Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in Portland, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
