Petey's Story...
Please meet Petey! Petey is a beautiful shepherd mix puppy. He and his brother have a very sad story. They were found in the backyard of a home that had been abandoned, the only survivors of a litter of pups and their mom. The rest of their family starved to death in that very yard. We rescued the two little boys and nursed them back to health and they are ready to have a new shot at a great life! Petey is a happy friendly little boy. He is playful and loves other dogs and kids! He is up to date on his shots and he is neutered!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Portland Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
