My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi folks! My name is Bones. You probably think that's an unusual name for a dog, right? It's kind of awkward to say Do you want a bone Bones? Too much room for misunderstandings. Especially if there is another dog called for example Fido. Does Fido want a Bone? I don't think so! Let me explain how I got my name. I was rescued along with 3 other dogs recently. Someone decided that because we are so out of this world dogs that we should be named after Star Trek characters. One was named Spock & one named Scotty. You remember “Beam me up Scotty” don't you? (Probably should have held that name for a Scotch Terrier!) Another boy was named Jean Luk, poor guy & of course me, Bones Anyway, I'm available for adoption so let me tell you something about myself. First of all if you haven't figured it out I'm named after Dr McCoy. I'm well named. You see Dr McCoy made people feel better & guess what? That's what I do. I am a big time hugger. My foster mom calls me “Baby Bones” I like to be in laps or laying next to people on beds. My foster family is cruel. They won't let me sleep on their bed at night. They insist on putting me in my crate every night at bed time. I get along with everyone here. One of the cats is becoming my best friend. She likes to rub up against me & I like it too. I'm just a happy little guy. I must confess I'm still working on house training. Well you know how it is, when you gotta go you gotta go! One thing about me that's unusual is I'm not food driven. I am more concerned about being with people than I am about eating.
Foster Note: Bones is everything he says & more. He is a very happy dog who likeseveryone, dogs, cats and people. He doesn't bark, chew things or dig. He isn't house trained but he isn't interested in marking, just squatting & doing his thing. He should be easy to train because he just wants to please. He allows us to pick him up, move him & reposition him without arguing.
