My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

MEET FLORA...a little angel blossom who fell from the sky and into our arms. This 5 yr old, tri colored, 10 lb dollbaby has to be one of the cutest little Shih Tzu we've ever had. She was discarded by her owners once her usefulness breeding her was done. Her poor little nipples had had enough! Little Flora will never have to nurse no babies again! Flora is a happy girl, loves to go for her walks and prances like a little princess. She is quiet as a mouse, but she does sometimes let out little whimpers when she is scared....but this passes quickly. There is no question in our minds that she was not treated very well in her past. She has a hard time making eye contact with you when you hold her, but once she relaxes and she knows you, she will bestow the cutest little kisses on your face...just to let you know how happy she is. She does love to cuddle and will follow you everywhere. When her food comes....she is all about her food! We've never seen such a well mannered girl eating her kibble...sitting nicely and her head doesn't come up until she is done! Flora would be great in a home where she gets all the attention, but she is just as happy with a companion dog. She would not like being left alone all day, and she does need a home that will joyfully walk her 2-3 times a day. She does use pee pee pads if you wait too long, but she is good on her walks. This is a happy girl who needs a happy home to call her own for the rest of her life. Does that sound like yours?

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We want to give you the time you deserve, so please help us help you!! We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

First Sunday of the month, we hold our adoption events at The Healthy Spot West Hollywood (8525 Santa Moinca Blvd, West Hollywood, 90069) from 11am-3pm. Most every other Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064) from 10:30a-3pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on events we may be doing! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption....and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.
