Anna's Story...
Oneco Anna is a striking 3 year old dark brindle girl and weighs about 65 pounds. She is tall for a female. Anna is friendly and outgoing, smart as a whip and wants to please. She is on the energetic side and we think she would make a great agility dog or lure courser. Anna proved herself to be cat friendly at the vet's office. She sniffed the cat thoroughly and when the cat got up and nonchalantly walked away, Anna went on to explore new frontiers. Anna was extremely well behaved during her bath. She stood patiently still for the entire process. She rides well in a vehicle... lays down and relaxes. She's good on a leash, too.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anna, a Harrisburg Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Harrisburg, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Harrisburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
