Meow! My name is Tommie
|Breed:||Domestic Mediumhair||Color:||Black (All)||Age:||Adult|
I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.
My name is Tommie and I am a very pretty black girl with brown eyes that my foster mother says are “soulful”. I don’t really know what that means, but I think it is a compliment! My name originally was Tommy because when I was first rescued, as a tiny kitten, everyone thought I was a boy. OOPS! I am a very shy girl, and I sometimes worry that I will never find a forever home because I’m so shy. I don’t like to be held but I LOVE to be petted. I’m not really what you call a “lap cat”. I like to sit on the back of the couch when my foster mother works on the computer because I know she will pet me and love on me. But if she tries to pick me up I will run away! I’m sort of a diva because, even though I am very shy I do like attention and I like to be petted, even by people I don’t know. Sometimes, when my foster mother has company, I will sneak out and “present” myself to the guests so they can admire and pet me. They better not try to pick me up though! I love attention but I am not competitive…if there are other cats around I will shrink into the background and not demand attention. I bet I’d be really happy in a home with one other cat…that way I’ll have some company but I won’t have to compete so much for attention. I really want a home of my own, but I know most humans want a kitty that is all lovey dovey and affectionate. I am affectionate in my own way, and I hope that there is someone out there who will accept me for who I am. Maybe there is someone out there who will understand my fears and eccentricities and love me in spite of them. If you want to meet me please email my foster mom: email@example.com

Rescue Group Info...
FuRR, Feline Rescue & Rehome is a non-profit rescue organization whose mission is to rescue abandoned, abused cats and those in danger of being euthanized in shelters. We focus on finding safe and loving homes for cats and kittens and promote the sterilization of animals in an effort to stop the overpopulation and suffering.
All of our foster cats are living in homes of our volunteers who setup their own individual visiting schedules. FuRR does setup adoption events at Pet Smart in North Little Rock every Sunday from 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm, CT.
Adoption applications are required, reviewed and must be approved by the foster home prior to adoption contract completion. FuRR strives to place our foster cats in homes best suited for their individual personalities and needs so their new home will be their "forever home". We do require the new owner to allow home visits, if necessary and follow-ups a few months after the adoption and to contact FuRR if, at any time, they are unable to keep the cat so she/he can be returned to our program. Our adoption fee is $75 for kittens under the age of 6 months and $60 for cats over 6 months old. This fee includes basic vet care, sterilization and testing. Travel costs for out-of-state adoptions may not be covered by FuRR.
