***Sadly Buddy will be returning to 4 Legged Love due to a sever allergic reaction to Buddy being in the home. His family is very sad to have to return him and has nothing but good things to say about Buddy which makes returning him even harder however due to the severity of the allergy there is no other choice.***

**Update!** Buddy has learned a few more manners and some basic commands while in his adoptive home!

The best way to describe Buddy is “big puppy love”, he’s an energetic, exuberant young dog with tons of love and slobbers for everyone. Buddy is really friendly with everyone he meets – cats, dogs, kids ect. Buddy is crate trained and house trained but has little training otherwise. He is not aware of his size and can be a bit much for small kids, he is not mean in any way but thinks that kids his height are great for slobbery wet kisses and isn’t aware of his size and may accidentally knock little ones over. He is great with other dogs but due to his size and exuberance he is a bit much for little dogs and cats. He would be a great companion to another large or mid size dog, he’s also fine on his own. Buddy is young and has energy but being such a large floppy puppy it doesn't take a lot to get most of his energy out, he is happy with a few brisk 20-30min walks and some play time off leash in the yard rather than a really long walk – but if you’ve got the time he’s always happy to head out with you for longer walks. He needs a strong (due to his size) but loving and patient owner to teach him basics, he walks nicely on leash most of the time but needs work to be great all the time – the great thing is he isn’t typical hound in that he will pay attention to you and his nose isn’t glued to the ground, he can sit for a treat but needs work on his basic obedience commands. Buddy is eager to please so he just needs consistency and someone strong and loving to show him the rules. He is mainly an indoor dog and doesn’t really like to be left outdoors without his family for long periods, he’d much rather be stretched out on the family room floor. He’d be a great second dog or fine on his own. He is a larger dog but with a decent walk each day he should be fine in a smaller home. Buddy is also relatively quiet, he sometimes barks to get the attention of other dogs when he is outside and when people are on the property. You really need to come out and meet this big lug, he so floppy he looks like he is running in slow motion, if he picks up a ball it disappears in his saggy jowls. He’s really a sweet guy and you can’t help but chuckle when he’s bouncing around and being cute. Buddy is best suited to a home with access to a fenced yard.
