Victor's Story...
Victor is a big, jolly, silly, loving cat. He might hiss when he first meets you but that doesn’t last long. In a couple of minutes he’ll want to play and snuggle! He is an energetic gentle giant who is full of love. He loves chasing a laser pointer and might need to do this a bit more – he’s a big boy – 21lbs! Curling up on the couch after a game of laser tag and watching Mythbusters is his favorite thing to do. If you brush him while he is resting he’s in heaven. He doesn’t like to be picked up but he’ll readily jump on your lap. He does okay with dogs but isn’t so thrilled with itty bitty kids. Give this boy a home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Victor, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
