Mr. Calico!'s Story...
Please Meet Mr. Calico, F/K/A Onyx, , A MALE CALICO CAT. A male calico is very rare indeed as calico, as well as Tortie's, are usually females. Depending on who you ask, a male Calico can be 1 in 30,000. I do know this, I have never seem on or known anyone who saw one, so that's very, very rare.
We did have him neutered, just in case he wasn't sterile as they are reported to be. He was tested, neutered and had all of his hots. So, now all he needs is a perfect home!
The volunteers, at CATS, are very proud of all of the cats and kittens, that we help facilitate finding the new 'forever homes', and work very hard to make sure they are healthy and well socialized. All of the cats and kittens are fed only Royal Canin cat food. An application can be obtained, as well as our pet list, at www.catadoptionri.org.
We are at the Providence Petco, located at 585 N. Main Street, Providence, RI every Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm and you are welcome to come by and meet and greet all of the cats and kittens that are looking for new 'Forever Homes'. Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten on adoption day as each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their finding their new 'forever homes'.
The adoption donation is $150.00 each after an approved application. This is not a sale, but an adoption donation. The adoption policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be adopted out spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all ages appropriate shots. There will not be any adoption of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us, and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!
